All lives are equal. Everyone deserves the opportunity to grow and excel. Everyone deserves to have a high standard of living and the basic infrastructure facilities needed to ensure health, security and prosperity.

These were the thoughts going through the mind of the business consultant as he travelled the long road from Karachi to Gwadar. Looking at the scenic beauty of the coast contrasted by the undeveloped land and the lack of infrastructure, Mr Muhammad Atif Khan could not help but wonder about the potential of this small port city. About what it could become for Pakistan one day…

The truth is that Mr Atif Khan was inspired by the fresh winds of Gwadar to see something special there. And in 2003, he had a vision for this port city that would change Pakistan forever. A dream that would only start to be realised when he would become the founder and CEO of The New Vision Group in 2005. A dream of development. An uplift of the city and its peoples.

In 2015, Mr Atif Khan invested his life savings into this dream. He wanted to have a meaningful impact on Gwadar and to improve it for the people. This effort, though honest, could only go so far if he did this on his own. And when he realised that, he started looking for a team to help him in the endeavour. This led to the formation of Lift Gwadar in 2021; a team of highly skilled and sincere professionals dedicated to uplifting the people of Gwadar and their environment in a sustainable manner that prepares them to face the upcoming challenges for Gwadar, enhances their skills and talents, boosts their confidence, and most importantly, makes them independent civics of the Country.
